Nurse Reported to Board. Files defamation suit. SOAH Judge ordered BON rescind charges, her job be reinstated with back pay and she won a 2 million dollar verdict. It can be done. It is just an uphill climb against unregulated Board. Judge in his brief said there must be a "legitimate investigation of the matter in order to be sure that their report is in good faith." Many Boards of Nursing do not conduct legitimate investigations. Their investigator and Director of Enforcement may have no nursing or healthcare training yet they evaluate if the nursing standard of care was met, a standard they are not educated in. #healthcare #nursing #hospitals #justice #licensing #rights #retaliation
